MS Band

Redwater Middle School Band is comprised of first year musicians in the 6th grade. The students learn basic proficiencies and musical concepts on their personal instruments, as well as in full ensemble settings. They perform several times in Christmas concerts, Spring concerts, Solo and Ensemble contests, and more. This year will prepare the students to advance to the Junior High and High School bands. Fifth Grade Music

The 5th grade music class is an elective class that meets for a 9 week rotation class.  The students learn how to read, perform and compose music by learning to play and compose for the recorder (a flute type instrument). They also learn about the various band instruments that are learned and played through the Redwater band program. At the end of the school year, an assembly will be held in the band hall to demonstrate, choose, and test on possible instruments for 6th grade beginning band.
