Pursuant to the TEC Code 39.053, the Redwater ISD Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing on Monday, March 21 at 6:30 pm at the RISD Administration Building at 202 Red River Rd N, concerning the District Annual Report. Immediately following, a second public hearing to consider the results of an evaluation of the effectiveness of accelerated programs will be held in accordance with TEC Code 29.081(b-3).

Redwater Independent School District will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 in the Administration Building located at 202 Red River Road N. The purpose of the hearing is to allow public input regarding the use of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency (ESSER III) and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) funds.
Notice of Federal Programs Planning and Intent to Apply – May 24, 2021
Redwater Independent School District is currently in the planning process for the following programs:
2021-2022 ESSA Consolidated Federal Application:
- Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs
- Title II, Part A – Improving Teacher Quality
- Title III – Supporting English Learners
- Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Achievement
Private Non-Profit (PNP) Schools and Equitable Services: School districts who receive ESSER and/or ESSA federal funds are required to provide equitable services for eligible school children, teachers, and other educational personnel at registered private non-profit (PNP) schools that desire to participate. PNP schools located in Redwater ISD should contact Lee Ann Corbin at 903-671-3481, no later than July 16, 2021, for more information. 2020-2023 ARP ESSER III Grant - American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) Funds will be used to respond to the pandemic and to address student learning loss as a result of COVID-19.
The district is in the process of gathering preliminary data from multiple stakeholders to guide and support the instructional and expenditure plan. Meaningful consultations with stakeholders will be implemented through the course of the academic year. Redwater ISD will be collecting this data initially through the following survey: Redwater ESSER III Stakeholder Feedback (this survey closed as of June 21, 2021)
Ongoing consultation through surveys, public meetings, and data review will take place throughout the life of the ESSER III grant.
