This week - February 5-9 - RISD is celebrating our wonderful School Counselors.
KIM HORNBUCKLE (RES), AMY McCULLER (RIS), PHYLLIS CUMMINGS (RJHS) & ASHLEY McCARTER (RHS) are a vital part of the educational process for all students as they meet the challenges of the 21st century. They are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents. They work in partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today's world.
School Counselors focus on positive ways to enhance students' academic, career and social/emotional development. And, they work with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves.
Take the time this week to email your School Counselor and THANK them for the important role they play in our student's lives and on our campuses.
