Redwater Intermediate, Junior High, and High School will host an information time for parents of students in grades 5-9 to learn about the ESTEEM program. Senior Night begins at 6:30 pm at Dragon Stadium followed by football kick-off at 7 pm.
There will be a BRIEF presentation about ESTEEM followed by a Question & Answer time. Instructional materials will be available for parent review until 6:45 pm. Parents may also make arrangements to view materials at each campus.
The ESTEEM program covers 100% of the Texas Health Standards and offers instruction, as required by Senate Bill 9, on topics related to the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking.
Parents must give permission for their child to participate in instruction related to human sexuality health standards and Senate Bill 9 topics. Each campus must have 100% return of the parent consent forms to assure compliance with the law.
