RISD Board of Trustees
Brad Rosiek, Board Vice-President brosiek@redwaterisd.org
Brad Rosiek enlisted in the US Army in 1988. He served in various roles in Central America during Operation Just Cause. He was later deployed to serve in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After the military, Brad became a civilian employee for the Department of Defense, before transferring to the Department of Justice in 1994. He and his family have lived in the Redwater community since July 2002. Brad and his wife have one daughter who is a graduate of Redwater ISD.
Thomas (TJ) Anderson, Board Secretary tanderson@redwaterisd.org
Thomas(TJ) Anderson is a 2002 graduate of Liberty-Eylau High School. He is a Veteran of the United States Army, and has been employed with Red River Army Depot since 2006. TJ also completed the Paramedic Program at Texarkana College in 2009. He and his wife Barbara have lived in Redwater since 2009, but have been involved in the community upon the end of TJ's military service in 2006. TJ and Barbara have 3 children, all of which attend Redwater ISD.
Rodney Bonner, Board Member rbonner@redwaterisd.org
Rodney Bonner has been a lifelong resident of Redwater. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are both 1986 graduates of Redwater ISD. Rodney has been employed at Frito-Lay for more than 30 years. Rodney and his wife have two children – a daughter, who is a 2015 graduate of Redwater ISD, and a son, who is currently attending Redwater High School.
Gerald McCarty, Board Member jmccarty@redwaterisd.org
Gerald (Jerry) McCarty has lived in Redwater for the majority of his life and is a 1991 Redwater graduate. Jerry has spent 28 years in the Texas Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve. He has also been a Federal Employee at Red River Army Depot for 15 years. Currently, Jerry serves as a Business Representative for the National Federation of Federal Employees. Jerry and his wife, Terri, have six children. Four of their children have graduated from Redwater ISD, with two children still attending school in Redwater.
Bryan Strand, Board Member bstrand@redwaterisd.org
Bryan Strand moved to Texarkana in 1990 where he was the managing partner in a local restaurant. Bryan attended Texarkana College studying business administration and management. He has worked in foodservice sales for more than 20 years, as well as the Director of Youth Ministries at County Avenue Baptist Church since 2005. In 1999, Bryan and his wife Kim decided to make Redwater their home. They have three children, two are graduates of Redwater High School and their youngest currently attends Redwater ISD.
Dakota Taylor, Board Member dtaylor@redwaterisd.org
Dakota Taylor is a 1999 graduate of Redwater High School. He is owner of Kylcar Construction, Dakota Taylor Custom Homes and Aqua Pools and Spas. He has owned his businesses for the past 15 years. He also serves in numerous roles including President of the Texarkana Home Builders Association. He and his wife Denise have two children that currently attend Redwater ISD.
