Gifted and Talented referrals for Redwater ISD students in Grades 1-11 will be accepted beginning Wednesday, September 6 until Friday, September 15, 2023. Please be sure that all referrals are turned in by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023. Late referral forms will not be accepted after the deadline.
Characteristics of gifted children include unique and unusual ways of solving problems, putting unrelated ideas together in new and different ways, an advanced vocabulary, ease or speed of learning, exceptional memory, and an ability to express themselves well.
Teachers, counselors, parents and interested community members are welcome to refer students for the program. You may pick up a Referral Packet from any RISD campus office beginning Wednesday, September 6.
