The Dragon Kingdom won 30 Regional medals overall on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The Visual Arts Department at Redwater High School proudly represented our district at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), an art competition sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA).

Redwater High School art and photography students earned 30 Regional Medals. These achievements reflect the students’ dedication, artistic skill, and commitment to excellence in visual arts.

In addition to their regional success, one student has advanced to the State VASE competition, which will be held on April 24-25, 2026 in San Marcos, Texas. Sophomore Cassie Yates will compete among the top student artists in Texas.

The UIL Visual Arts Scholastic Event is one of the premier art competitions in Texas, providing students the opportunity to present their artwork to professional jurors and receive recognition for their artistic achievement.

Redwater High School and Redwater ISD congratulate these talented students and look forward to cheering on Miss Yates as she continues her artistic journey at the State VASE competition in April.
