Redwater ISD is pleased to announce Carol Even as the new Junior High and High School Assistant Principal. The 2019-2020 school year will be Ms. Even’s 15th year serving in education. She began her career in education with Garland ISD as a high school teacher for students with special needs, followed by serving as a teacher, webmaster, and administrative intern at the elementary level. Ms. Even also served Garland ISD as a Technology Coach, Federal Programs Title I Specialist, and a Student Success Coordinator through which she provided professional development to teachers and administrators, supervised compliance with state and federal regulations and initiated and implemented credit restoration and enrichment programs.
Ms. Even also served as an Assistant Principal for Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, where she supervised a variety of departments and operations including Special Education, 504, World Languages, ESL, Credit Restoration, ISS & Behavior Intervention, and Technology Integration.
Ms. Even earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Counseling from Southwestern AG University. She also holds a Master of Education from Concordia University, Austin, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education.
Ms. Even has two sons who remain in the Dallas area to continue university studies and pursuit of career goals. She is excited to return to this area to be closer to family, and to join the Redwater ISD team where we serve every student, every day!
