I have to do a little bragging on my students and staff today. During the recent pennies per pasta campaign the 7^th and 8^th graders here at the junior high raised $5480.92 over a three week period. We hope that this is the highest per capita amount raised in the nation. Our roughly 180 students raised about $30.44 each. We will know once the leukemia and lymphoma society gets all the totals. Congrats to all those kiddoes and teachers who went crazy with it this year. Keep raising that bar!

PS  After four weeks of raising money, our campus raised $6,056.92!

On Friday, May 17, the 7th and 8th grade classes will travel by school buses to the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, TX. We will leave the school at 8:00 a.m. and return around 3:00 p.m. Each student will need to bring $5.00 and a sack lunch. If anyone chooses, they may purchase a sack lunch from the school cafeteria. Permission forms have been passed out at school. The completed permission form along with the $5.00, must be turned in to the Jr. High office no later than Wednesday, May 8. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office at 903-671-3227.  

Redwater Jr. High has joined the effort to go green.  We have become part of a program called "Recycling 4 Cash".  We can earn money for our school by collecting empty inkjets, laser toners, laptops, I-pods and cell phones! All you have to do is send them to the Junior High with your student or drop them off at the Junior High office.

Please support us by bringing these items from home, asking family and friends to participate or even by collecting them from your place of employment.  We will even provide a box for you.  Contact the Junior High by calling 903-671-3227.  We greatly appreciate your help!

Redwater Jr. High School has participated in the General Mills Box Tops for Education fund-raising program for a couple of years now.  This program is designed to earn cash for our school. There is  no door-to-door selling by the student and it costs nothing to become involved. Our school gets 10 cents for each Box Top we collect! The more we collect the more cash we earn. You can find box Tops for Education logos on participating General Mills products such as Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Fruit Roll-Ups, Hamburger, Tuna and Chicken Helper, Bisquick and many, many more.  The list continues to grow.  Last year, together, we earned over $320.00 for our campus.  We just mailed the November collections totaling $172.90! 

The next Box Tops mailing will be in December. Go online and play the games that are provided.  They are not only fun to play, but you earn bonus boxtops for us each month!

If you are not supporting another campus, we would love to have you help us.  Just go to the website and choose Redwater Jr. High as your school.  Be sure to shop at the marketplace to earn e-boxtops for us.
